Food Service Worker

The VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System is seeking a Food Service Worker for the Nutrition & Food Service Line located at the main campus in Leeds, MA.
The primary assignments of this position are as follows but are not limited to:
o Sets up cafeteria/tray lines, steam-tables, dining room tables and side service stands with hot and cold food items.
o Serves food cafeteria style in patient dining room or on a tray assembly line by placing uniform portions of food on plates.
o Set up dining room tables for service, place food and beverages on tables, and replenish items.
o Brew coffee and tea, assemble and toss fresh fruit or green salads in quantity using prepared dressings and portions.
o Makes cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients and pack box lunches.
o Set up and operate a mechanical dishwasher, remove inspection doors, strainer pans, screens and spray arms for preventative maintenance and cleaning.
o Scrape, soak, scour and scrub the heavier cooking utensils such as mixing bowls.
o Perform heavy duty cleaning tasks.
o Unload food from delivery trucks, move heavy garbage cans when collecting and transferring trash from the work area.
o Break down and clean their assigned area when meal is finished and return the food to the kitchen.
o Return soiled trays and dishes to the dish room.
o Deliver and retrieve meal trays to/from patient's bedside, noting and reporting food acceptance and/or comments or complaints.
o Keeps working areas clean and orderly.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position on a rotating schedule.

30am to 7:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
