STAFF Accountant Position Information:
Full-Time Salary
Summary:
Assist with all accounting aspects of a strong, growing non-profit organization.
Develop and maintain budgets for all federal, state and local grant awards.
Analyze and process all expenses according to grant requirements and comply with all grant invoicing and reporting procedures.
Work closely with accounting team to analyze financial information and report results to upper management.
Qualifications:
-Four year Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting.
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
-Ability to work in a team environment in a fast paced organization with strong attention to detail.
-Familiarity with non-profit grant management a plus.
Responsibilities:
-Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing reports comparing budgeted costs to actual.
-Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
-Analyze and process all expenses according to grant budgets.
-Process weekly payroll.
-Develop and monitor cash flow projections.
-Assist in year-end financial closing and audit process.
-Maintain client confidentiality.
-Knowledge and understanding of grant guidelines.
-Other accounting duties assigned by management.
